2022-04-24

A friend who raised pigs sent a question: I am a novice in raising pigs, and a new batch of pigs has been brought in. How can I raise pigs so that they do not get sick or get sick less often?
This question is simple and easy to say. Do a good job in feeding management, disease prevention, and the pig herd is naturally healthy. However, it involves all aspects and requires the pig farmers to be careful and patient. The threshold for raising pigs is very low, and everyone can enter the industry, but To really make money, we still need to work hard in technology and other details! Below is a brief description of what needs to be done to raise pigs well.
1. Selection of pig breeds
Pigs are the foundation of pig farms. The sows we buy need to be of good shape, good breeds, no defects in pigs, no diseases, and they can bring high benefits to pig farms. Understand the local epidemic situation and choose high-quality piglets. Some piglets who have been brought in by pig farmers become ill within a few days and suffer serious losses. Now that the price of pigs is so good, the losses are too great. Good isolation and transition, so that pigs can integrate into the current environment faster.
2. Pig house environment
The pig house environment includes temperature, sanitation, humidity, and disinfection. These four points must be done well. With a good environment for pigs, the production capacity can be improved, and the disease will be much less. The suitable temperature range of our pig herds at all stages: The optimum temperature range for breeding boars is 17-21°C; the optimum temperature range for pregnant sows is 18-21°C; the optimum temperature for lactating sows is 20-22°C; the optimum temperature for suckling piglets is 29-33°C; The optimum temperature for fattening pigs is 22-25°C; the optimum temperature for fattening pigs is 19-22°C; no matter what method is used in summer, the temperature should be lowered to the optimum temperature for pigs, and it should not exceed too much. People standing inside can't stand the pig. It won't grow long and it's better. In winter, keep warm and ventilate to the maximum extent to avoid pig tear spots and ammonia poisoning, etc., but also pay attention to the density of the pig herd; for hygiene, do a good job of cleaning the feces in time, and now the epidemic situation, disinfection It should not be necessary to say how important the work is. At least once every seven days, disinfectant should be used alternately.
3. Disease prevention
Vaccines for breeding pigs and fat pigs must be done well, such as swine fever, foot-and-mouth disease, small Japanese encephalitis, etc., and fattening swine fever pseudorabies ring, etc. These viral diseases can be vaccinated, and most of the occurrences can be reduced. Probability is the most effective and cost-effective way to prevent epidemics. Another point is that pigs are dewormed regularly to prevent parasitic diseases. Other high incidences of diarrhea and respiratory diseases need to start with feeding management and do the second point above. Such diseases are much less common.
4. Feeding
Whether it is self-made or full-price feed, we had better choose good feed for pigs within our ability. Only pigs that eat well can grow better. Pay attention to the preservation of feed, and do not feed moldy feed, otherwise it will cause Big trouble; in addition, it is necessary to ensure that the pigs have sufficient drinking water. If breeding pigs, it is best to build a sports field to give the pigs proper exercise, and the production capacity will increase a lot.

To put it simply, if you do the above points well, it is not difficult to raise pigs well, but it takes a lot of hard work to do it well. Pig raising is simple and difficult. Now the benefits are good, and friends work hard.
