Recently, in the abandoned farmland of Nanyao Village, Helang Village and Shangdie Village in Nanjiangkou Town, Yunan County, a drone was patrolling and spraying herbicides under the control of the information officer of the Helang Village Committee of the town. The pesticides in the fuselage are sprayed evenly on the weeds in the form of a mist. In just over 30 minutes, the operation is completed on more than 20 acres of abandoned land.

"This piece of abandoned farmland is more than 60 acres. If manual spraying is used, it will take several days for one person to complete it. Now it can be sprayed with drones in more than an hour. It really saves time, effort, and labor." Zhou Bo, a farmer in the village, looked at the drone at work and admired it.

At present, in the critical period of spring ploughing and spring planting, Nanjiangkou Town has used drones to spray and weed 127 mu of abandoned land in the town, of which 75 mu of abandoned land has been successfully re-cultivated and replanted. Next, the town will further strengthen the application of high-tech in agricultural development, and continuously improve the ability of farmers to apply high-tech through strengthening publicity, on-site teaching guidance and other measures, and effectively promote the work of re-cultivation and replanting in the town, so as to increase the income of farmers in the town.
