This article will show you the market status and development trend of China's solar cell industry in 2020

2022-05-16

In recent years, the solar cell industry has developed rapidly with the support of relevant policies, and the industry concentration has continued to rise, which has a large space for development.

Production growth rate exceeded 30%

Solar cell, also known as "solar chip" or "photovoltaic cell", is an optoelectronic semiconductor sheet that uses sunlight to generate electricity directly. As long as it is illuminated by light that meets certain illumination conditions, it can instantly output voltage and generate current when there is a loop. In physics, it is called solar photovoltaic (Photovoltaic, abbreviated as PV), referred to as photovoltaic.

my country's solar cell industry has developed rapidly in recent years under the support of the environment of energy conservation and environmental protection and related policies. Its main development characteristics are as follows:

From the perspective of production scale, since 2015, the scale of solar cell production in my country has steadily increased. According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, my country's solar cell output in 2019 was 128.621 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 33.91%.

The newly installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation has declined

At present, most of the solar cells on the market are used for photovoltaic power generation. Although my country's solar photovoltaic industry started late, it has developed rapidly. Especially since 2013, driven by national and regional policies, solar photovoltaic power generation has shown an explosive growth in my country. increase.

According to statistics from the National Energy Administration, in 2017, the newly installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in my country was 53.06 million kilowatts, a record high. After 2018, affected by the new photovoltaic 531 policy, new photovoltaic power generation projects in various places have declined. In 2019, the country's newly installed photovoltaic power generation capacity was 30.11 million kilowatts, a year-on-year decrease of 31.6%. The cumulative installed capacity has grown to 204.3 million kilowatts.
