European Commission unveils energy plan proposing to install solar panels on commercial and public buildings by 2025

European Commission President von der Leyen tweeted on May 18 that the European Commission announced an energy plan called "RepowerEU", proposing that by 2025, member states are obliged to install solar panels on commercial and public buildings; by 2029, Member States install solar panels on new homes. Von der Leyen said the EU will mobilize nearly 300 billion euros, of which about 10 billion will be used to fill the missing links in gas, LNG and oil infrastructure, and the rest will be used to accelerate and expand the clean energy transition.
