2022-05-23

On May 16, the National Bureau of Statistics announced the energy production in April 2022! Electricity production has changed from increasing to decreasing. In April, the power generation was 608.6 billion kWh, a year-on-year decrease of 4.3%, and an increase of 0.2% in the previous month, with an average daily power generation of 20.29 billion kWh. From January to April, power generation reached 2.6 trillion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%.

In terms of varieties, in April, the decline in thermal power expanded, the growth rate of hydropower, nuclear power, and wind power slowed down to varying degrees, and the growth rate of solar power generation accelerated. Among them, thermal power decreased by 11.8% year-on-year, a decrease of 6.1 percentage points from the previous month; hydropower increased by 17.4%, a growth rate of 2.4 percentage points lower than the previous month; nuclear power increased by 0.9%, a decrease of 1.3 percentage points from the previous month; wind power increased by 14.5 percentage points %, 9.3 percentage points slower than the previous month; solar power generation increased by 24.9%, 8.1 percentage points faster than the previous month.

According to data from the National Energy Administration, my country's photovoltaic installed capacity continued to grow rapidly in the first quarter of 2022, with a newly installed capacity of 13.2GW, a year-on-year increase of 148%. Among them, distributed photovoltaics accounted for 8.87GW, accounting for more than 67%.
